F Admission To The United States / Duration Of Stay / Extension Of Status

F-1 nonimmigrant students may be admitted to the United States a maximum of thirty (30) days before their academic program start date. An F-1 nonimmigrant student will be admitted for the “duration of status” of their course of study indicated on their SEVIS I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant Student Status.
